Well howdy!
Here's another no-brainer super.fast, stupid.easy project for you today.
I made these for our daughter's 3rd birthday... a way of upcycling those puzzle pieces in to magnets. (Since 'animal noise' puzzle board found an untimely end.. thanks to daddio)!
Just hot glue the magnet to the back of each puzzle piece.
-------
Or, to show off your inner-pirate... glue a brooch clip to the back of a parrot!
With Christmas around the corner, I've also seen these puzzles hanging from the tree with a drilled hole and ribbon attached.
(Speaking of Christmas.. or gift giving to any child... please remember their parent's sanity and never. no not ever. just don't.. buy toys that make noise! ;o)
heh. For reals).
Happy crafting
My brother was buying a gift for J for his baptism. Apparently his wife had to tell him no to several toys before they finally came to a consensus on one. It's still rather annoying though.
ReplyDeleteThose are cute!
Hahaha. I have always threatened my brother with noisy toys for his two boys, but I have never bought them. I'm with you on the sanity. I've never been a parent, but I did my fair share of babysitting and oy vay noisy toys are the worst!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the puzzle pieces. I'll have to take a look in the thrift shops for some of those puzzles. I think my nephews would like some of those magnets, for sure.
xx
P.S. I'm waiting on you to write me some questions to answer for my first-ever vlog. GULP!
Ha.. you're a kind sister then! ;o) I bet you're a pretty rad auntie too.
ReplyDeleteYES yes, will send some deep.probing.embarrassing questions your way... muah.ha.ha.ha. ;o)
Hehe.. I know eh? They're always cute toys the first few times.. and then, jab my ears out with a fork already! thanks Natasha :o)
ReplyDeleteAhhh toys with batteries!
ReplyDeleteWe had a Fisher Price puppy that said "I love you"
...
in the middle of the night.
SCARY!
ha! The ones that say "I love you" are always the creepiest! Especially in the middle of the night.. yikes. :o)
